Famous designer and blogger Artemy Lebedev criticized the renovated landmark of Yekaterinburg — the "Keyboard Monument." In Lebedev's opinion, the "restorers" would have been better off not touching anything.
The Keyboard Monument was installed 20 years ago on the Iset embankment as part of the "Long Stories of Yekaterinburg" festival with the support of the city's leading developer. This year it was decided to update it.
After that the concrete "keys" came to look even more like ordinary construction blocks.
"It didn't get better, it got worse, because it was restored by people whose hands grow out of their asses. They only ruined everything, instead of making excellent new cool keys. They just made concrete, and even left some sort of markings," Lebedev said.

Artemy also pointed out that the area around the "keyboard" was not beautified at all, so people walking on the blocks leave dirt from their shoes on them. And that, indeed, is typical of the city.
