A Sverdlovsk resident stabbed a stranger near a store.
In Pervouralsk, a 27-year-old man was stabbed near a grocery store, the city OMVD press group reported.
The incident occurred on the night of November 8. The duty office of the Pervouralsk OMVD received a report that a man with stab and slash wounds had been admitted to the hospital. Criminal investigators found that the victim had been wounded by a 32-year-old repeat offender who had argued with him.
He was promptly detained. The man confessed to everything. He had previously been convicted of robbery, assault, theft and drug offenses.
"According to the detainee, he was very drunk; while passing by the store he saw an unfamiliar man with whom a verbal conflict arose due to personal animosity. He then pulled a kitchen knife out of his jacket pocket and struck the man in the chest with it. He then fled the scene," the police said.
A criminal case has been opened against him under the article "Intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm." He faces up to 10 years in prison.
Earlier it was reported that in Khimmash the manager of a chain store stabbed his mother-in-law to death in front of a child.
