      In the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Sverdlovsk Region, drivers are asked to reduce speed and increase following distance on the roads because of the heavy snowfall that has hit the region.

      — Intensive snowfall is occurring across the region. Such weather conditions create a potential danger of reduced visibility and the formation of black ice on the road surface, — the traffic police (GAI) said.

      All traffic police patrol crews have been moved to an enhanced duty mode. Pedestrians are also asked to be cautious when crossing the road.
