In the Moscow Region, the Vidnoye City Court sentenced Ural Airlines flight attendant Varvara Volkova to seven years in a penal colony. This was reported by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Moscow Region.
Volkova was found guilty under the article “Public dissemination of knowingly false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.” The court found that the woman posted false information about the actions of the Russian army in a residents’ chat of the village of Sapronovo on Telegram.
According to the Telegram channel “Ostorozhno, novosti,” the woman worked as a flight attendant for Ural Airlines. A serviceman drew attention to her post. Her message was then spread across a network of Telegram channels. Volkova will serve her sentence in a general-regime colony.
