Staple food prices have risen sharply in Sverdlovsk Oblast.
Ahead of the New Year in Sverdlovsk Oblast the main food products have once again sharply risen in price. Cucumbers and sausage were hit the most, according to a study by Sverdlovskstat.
Sausages rose in price by 1.3%, their average cost has now reached 590 rubles per kilogram.
Boiled and semi-smoked sausages increased in price by 3.4%, their price reached 752 rubles per kilo.
Cottage cheese rose by 1.1%, its average cost is 495 rubles.
Milk, sour cream and cheese also became more expensive by 0.5%.
Eggs rose in price by 1% over the week, their average cost per ten is 91 rubles.
Cookies became 2% more expensive, their average cost per 1 kg is 305 rubles.
White bread rose by 1.1% — to 122 rubles per 1 kg.
Polished rice rose by almost 2% — to 166 rubles per 1 kg.
Vermicelli — by 2.2%, its average price is 133 rubles.
Pasta also became more expensive, in a few days their cost increased by 1.6% — to 133 rubles per 1 kg.
Potatoes — by 7% (to 40 rubles).
Onions — by 3.7% (40 rubles).
Beetroot — by 4.5% (to 35 rubles).
Carrots — by 5.5% (to 47 rubles).
Fresh cucumbers and tomatoes — by 2% (to 240 and 221 rubles, respectively).
