In Yekaterinburg they wanted to make life easier for kiosk owners so that they would return.
One of the issues being discussed by the working group under Yekaterinburg Mayor Alexey Orlov as part of resolving the problem with non-stationary trading objects (NTOs) has been easing requirements for kiosks selling printed materials. It is planned to reduce their rent and simplify the procedure for participating in placement tenders, URA.RU was told by one of the group's participants.
According to him, support measures for NTOs trading in printed products are currently being considered, including a reduced rental rate and simpler conditions for participating in tenders.
— These changes will definitely be implemented, the only question is timing, — the agency's source noted.
At the same time, the head of Rozpechat, Sergey Chentsov, whose kiosks were dismantled during the street-trading reform in Yekaterinburg, told URA.RU that discussions of the new rules have been underway since the beginning of autumn, but so far have produced no concrete results. He also stressed that representatives of the authorities have never contacted him. In his opinion, the proposed measures will not allow the network to be restored.
— Forget about Rozpechat — the company has suffered serious financial damage, — the entrepreneur said.
