According to Yandex Go, on December 31 demand (and, consequently, prices) for taxis increases after 8:00 p.m. The rush hour starts at midnight — many people go into the city center for fireworks or to visit friends and family.
The elevated demand persists throughout New Year’s night, stabilizing somewhat by 3–4 a.m. From 8 to 10 a.m. the number of available drivers increases, and trips become more affordable.
Demand will be higher than usual throughout January 1 and will stabilize by the morning of the 2nd. Plan your trips in advance and save the picture so you don’t forget anything. Hours highlighted in green indicate when there are more taxis available and the fare is lower.
