Sverdlovsk residents and tourists are standing in long lines for winter entertainment in Yekaterinburg.
In Yekaterinburg, the winter holidays are taking place amid a large influx of people: queues have formed at almost all of the city's popular festive venues. One of the most in-demand spots has become the ice town in the Historical Square, as well as the skating rink on 1905 Square.
There are many visitors at the new winter location "Energia RMK. Winter" too. The festival site with slides, rinks, shows and interactive attractions draws hundreds of locals and tourists, which means you often have to wait for the most popular attractions, especially on weekends.
Huge lines form for the tallest slide in Russia. People complain that they stand for two hours before sliding down once! Organizers now sell a limited number of tickets per day, but, to be honest, that hasn't really helped the situation so far.
Mayakovsky Park is also not being overlooked: the "Northern Lights" rink and winter entertainments attract large crowds, and the "Tinkoff" slide, although no longer the tallest, still has residents queuing for a fun ride.
The rush is felt not only outdoors. Cinemas, thermal complexes and the water park operate at full capacity during the holidays — people choose warm spaces to relax, which leads to crowding at the entrances.
