Over the next three days, abnormally cold weather will persist in the Urals, with air temperatures 7–14 °C below normal.
According to the Ural Hydrometeorological Center, on January 14 there will be variable cloudiness, mainly without precipitation, with light snow in places in the southwest. Hoarfrost. Light winds. Temperatures at night −27 to −32 °C, in the mountains and lowlands −37 to −42 °C, by day −24 to −29 °C; in the extreme southwest at night −20 to −25 °C, by day −16 to −21 °C.
In Yekaterinburg: no precipitation; at night −29 °C, by day −25 °C.
On January 15: variable cloudiness, no precipitation. Southeast wind 2–7 m/s. Temperatures at night −28 to −33 °C, by day −19 to −24 °C; in the north at night as low as −38 °C, by day as low as −29 °C; in the extreme southwest at night −21 to −26 °C, by day −11 to −16 °C.
In Yekaterinburg: no precipitation; at night −29 °C, by day −20 °C.
On January 16: variable cloudiness, mainly without precipitation. Light winds. Temperatures at night −20 to −25 °C, in the north and east down to −30 °C; by day −14 to −19 °C, in the north and east down to −25 °C; in the extreme southwest −9 to −14 °C.
In Yekaterinburg: no precipitation; at night −24 °C, by day −15 °C.
