First Deputy Head of Yekaterinburg Igor Sutyagin is leaving the city administration. His position will be taken by Rustam Galyamov, writes the portal 66.RU.
Rustam Galyamov is already performing the duties of the first deputy head of Yekaterinburg because Sutyagin is on leave until February. And, most likely, he will not return from it, a source in the mayor’s office told 66.RU.
According to another 66.RU interlocutor, the decision to resign was mutual.
In February the term of Yekaterinburg’s head, Alexey Orlov, also expires. After the mayor’s re-election, Galyamov is expected to officially become his first deputy.
Rustam Galyamov is considered one of the most influential officials in the city administration. His responsibilities include construction, public transport, and urban improvement. After the resignation of Deputy Mayor Alexey Bubnov, Bubnov’s powers were transferred to Galyamov.
According to URA.RU, the first deputy head himself, Igor Sutyagin, may move to work at the Prosecutor General’s Office. “The structure is not new to him,” an informed source for the agency noted.
