The search for the person who drowned in the Beloyarsk Reservoir while snowmobiling continues.
Searches continue in the Sverdlovsk Region for 29-year-old Ilya Litomin, who drowned while riding a snowmobile on the ice of the Beloyarsk Reservoir.
On the night of December 4–5, Ilya fell through the ice on a snowmobile along with 51-year-old construction company director Sergey Sapegin.
The men, who had come from Yekaterinburg, were staying at a tourist base located right on the shore. On the night of the incident they set off on a snowmobile to go fishing when a blizzard began. It was reported that the snowmobile driver may not have noticed a patch of thin ice.
Only Sergey could be pulled from the water, but he died an hour later in intensive care. The search for Ilya continues.
— The search is being carried out with the help of divers and using an echo sounder. Today the Russian Emergencies Ministry has deployed four rescuers and one unit of special equipment, the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the Sverdlovsk Region told KP-Yekaterinburg.
