Due to severe frosts, the "Finists" in Sverdlovsk Oblast were replaced by regular electric commuter trains.

On Wednesday, January 14, when temperatures in the Sverdlovsk region fell in places to -40°C, passengers on the morning service from Nizhny Tagil to Yekaterinburg saw a standard commuter train with plastic seats on the platform instead of the "Finist." A similar incident occurred in the evening when departing from Yekaterinburg. Passengers were asked to switch to another train, delaying boarding.

"As a result, passengers stood in the cold for about half an hour," a woman from the Urals told TagilCity.ru.

Despite the substitution, the morning service arrived in Yekaterinburg on time. Passengers were offered compensation for the fare difference — 168 rubles. But when the evening service was delayed by more than an hour, they refused to provide compensation. The carrier has not yet commented on the reasons for the substitutions.

By the way, the fare for commuter trains in Yekaterinburg was recently increased.
