Sverdlovsk's former deputy minister of energy has been placed on the federal wanted list.
Former deputy minister of energy and housing and communal services of the Sverdlovsk Region Sergey Gayda has been placed on the federal wanted list. The corresponding information appeared in the database on the official website of the Russian Interior Ministry.
"Wanted under an article of the Criminal Code," the database states.
However, the specific article of the Criminal Code is not specified on the Interior Ministry's website. Law enforcement agencies told TASS that Gayda has been charged with mediating the transfer of a bribe in a particularly large amount. According to media sources, the criminal case is connected to corruption crimes involving other current and former officials of the Sverdlovsk regional government, Ura.Ru reports.
