A man from Sverdlovsk strangled and burned a 13-year-old schoolgirl.
In Nizhny Tagil the public prosecutor requested 14 years’ imprisonment for Sergey Berezovich for the brutal murder of a girl. This was reported by the joint press service of the region’s courts.
It all happened back in May 2007. At that time the man argued with a 13‑year‑old schoolgirl and then strangled her. He burned the body and dumped the corpse in the river. Law enforcement officers managed to find the perpetrator when he was already in a penal colony.
The public prosecutor, during closing arguments, asked the court to sentence Sergey Berezovich to 14 years’ imprisonment, and to a total of 23 years’ imprisonment taking into account the sentence he is already serving for crimes committed against a minor, the agency clarified.
It was previously reported that a 15‑year‑old teenager is accused of attempted murder of a local resident, although he stabbed her in the building’s entrance.
