A woman from Sverdlovsk, who lost her son, sued the doctors who did not notice his cancer during the health check-up.

In Tavda, the prosecutor's office achieved through the court the payment of compensation to a pensioner whose son died after inadequate medical care.

The investigation revealed that the man had repeatedly visited the local district hospital and underwent examinations, but the doctors did not timely detect a serious illness. It later turned out that the patient had a malignant tumor in the oral cavity, which was already in an advanced stage by the time the diagnosis was made.

Experts determined that during the examinations, the medical staff did not notice obvious signs of the disease and also committed violations—failing to conduct necessary examinations in a timely manner and incorrectly maintaining medical documentation. Subsequently, the man passed away.

The prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit in the interests of the deceased's mother. The court partially granted the claim and ordered the hospital to pay the woman 500,000 rubles in compensation for moral damage.
