Bedding supplies in the colonies were showcased at the Sverdlovsk GUFSIN.
Blankets, mattresses, pillows, as well as shirts will be sewn for the FSIN by convicted former law enforcement officers from Tavda IK-26, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region reported.
In the IK-26 colony (Tavda), a sewing workshop operates, where 47 convicts are employed. Currently, contracts for four types of products (shirts, blankets, mattresses, pillows) are being fulfilled at the facility.
The profession of tailor is taught to the convicts at a vocational school located within the institution. Two more groups of convicts have been undergoing training for the professions of stoker and machinist since the beginning of the year.
The convicts of the sewing workshop at IK-26 are set to fulfill state contracts for the clothing of special contingents totaling 5.5 million rubles.
