In the village of Zaykovo in the Irbit district of the Sverdlovsk region, a 13-year-old schoolboy shot a classmate with a pneumatic pistol. This was reported by Alexander Shulga, the senior assistant to the head of the regional investigative committee.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred on school grounds. The teenager, harboring personal animosity towards the girl, shot at her with a weapon he secretly took from his 19-year-old brother. It is specified that the pistol was purchased by the older brother on a marketplace.
As a result of the incident, the girl sustained a bruise, and her life and health are not in danger. Also, minor injuries - finger and leg injuries - were sustained by a teacher and an accountant who were nearby. No one required hospitalization.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under the article "Negligence."
As reported by Valery Gorelykh, the head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk region, the teenager is being raised in a well-off family. According to preliminary data, the cause of the conflict was personal animosity related to his academic performance.
An administrative case will be initiated against the student's parents under the article "Failure to fulfill duties in raising a child."
