In the Sverdlovsk region, a popular antibiotic was withdrawn from pharmacies.
In the pharmacies of the Sverdlovsk region, the sale of the antibiotic "Macropen" (midecamycin) has been completely halted. This was reported by employees of pharmacy chains in Yekaterinburg to URA.RU.
The drug was excluded from the State Register of Medicines at the request of the rights holder - a Slovenian company. The decision to revoke the registration was made by the Ministry of Health of Russia, which effectively prohibits the further circulation of the drug in the country.
"Macropen" was produced, among other places, at Russian facilities of companies in the Novosibirsk region.
The antibiotic was used to treat respiratory infections, ENT organs, the urogenital system (including chlamydia and mycoplasmosis), as well as skin diseases.
