The mother of the editor of "URA.RU," who is sitting in a pre-trial detention center for bribing his uncle, a police officer, spoke about the crack in their family.
The mother of former editor of "URA.RU" Denis Allayarov, who is accused of bribing a public official, was questioned as a witness in the Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg, reports 66.RU.
During the hearing, Natalia Allayarova said that the relatives still cannot come to terms with what happened, and there is a "crack" in the family. No one celebrates holidays anymore, writes 66.RU.
Denis's uncle, former police officer Andrei Karpov, who is accused of receiving a bribe from her son, was preparing to go to the Special Military Operation (SMO), the witness reported.
"And they asked us for help, money for a bulletproof vest - 40 thousand. And we sent it to him. But he didn't go anywhere," emphasized Natalia Allayarova.
The family no longer communicates with Karpov, and her husband went to the SMO, she said.
Denis Allayarov is accused of bribing Karpov, who at the time held the position of head of the criminal investigation department of OP No. 10, in the amount of 120 thousand rubles, in order to receive closed police reports as a basis for exclusive news.
Andrei Karpov was sentenced to four years probation last November. His criminal case was considered in a special procedure. He admitted guilt in receiving a bribe from his own nephew. It was reported that the prosecutor's office appealed the verdict but later withdrew the appeal.
