The vice-mayor of Yekaterinburg, Konstantin Shevchenko, proposed to equip a water area for training rescuers and comprehensive education for children on safe behavior in water near school No. 300.
The new school No. 300 ("Perspective," Roshchinskaya Street, 23) serves as a resource center for the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Its main feature is a comprehensive safety area created in collaboration with the rescue agency.
Rescuers teach children first aid, obstacle course navigation, orientation in the terrain, handling primary fire extinguishing equipment, and ensuring personal safety.
Elena Kirichenko, the director of the Education Department of the Yekaterinburg administration, stated that all municipal educational institutions also conduct preventive work with children aimed at forming knowledge and skills for safe behavior on ice and near water.
The head of the city, Alexey Orlov, instructed to carry out measures to ensure the safety of people at water bodies in connection with the rapid melting of ice.
