      The circumstances of the fatal traffic accident that occurred late the night before are being investigated by the State Traffic Inspectorate near Verkhnyaya Pyshma. A bus fatally struck a pedestrian, reported the regional State Traffic Inspectorate. The accident involving the charter bus "Yutong" occurred on Thursday, April 2, at 10:15 PM on the 2nd kilometer of the road "Access to Verkhnyaya Pyshma" (in the opposite direction). According to preliminary data, the driver of the "Yutong" bus, traveling in the left lane of the one-way road from Verkhnyaya Pyshma towards the Serovsky tract, hit a pedestrian who was moving on the roadway towards the vehicle.

      The driver explained that he noticed a black silhouette moving on the roadway towards him and made an emergency stop, but could not avoid the collision. The deceased was dressed in dark clothing without reflective elements.

      As a result of the incident, the pedestrian died from the injuries sustained at the scene before the ambulance crew arrived. The bus driver, a 56-year-old resident of Novouralsk with 21 years of driving experience, was transporting workers. At the time of the incident, there were 29 passengers on the bus, none of whom were injured. A conducted examination showed that the driver was sober.

      State Traffic Inspectorate and investigative operational group personnel worked at the accident site. The identity of the deceased is being established. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.

      The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds that pedestrians are prohibited from moving on the roadway when there is a sidewalk or shoulder available. During nighttime, it is necessary to use reflective elements.
