Tons of tomatoes were secretly imported into Yekaterinburg.
In Yekaterinburg, a violation was identified during the delivery of a large batch of vegetables: on April 2, 2026, nearly 2 tons of tomatoes from the Chelyabinsk region were imported into the city without prior notification.
The violation was discovered by employees of the Ural Interregional Office of Rosselkhoznadzor during an inspection. As reported by the agency's press service, the organization did not notify the controlling authority about the arrival of 1,968 kilograms of products within the established deadlines.
In addition, the state information system lacked data on the completion of the transportation of quarantine products, and the quarantine certificate had not been canceled.
It is noted that the enterprise was previously issued a certificate for this product with a validity period of 20 days. However, during this time, the producer did not enter the necessary information about the delivery into the system.
In connection with the identified violations, the company has been issued a warning.
