"Soyuzmultfilm" plans to sue a Sverdlovsk store for drawings of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet.

      "Soyuzmultfilm" disagreed with the decision of the Sverdlovsk Arbitration Court, which had previously denied the film studio's claim against entrepreneur Olga Dudorova from Revda. The plaintiffs demanded 200,000 rubles for the use of images of Winnie the Pooh and Piglet on the sign of her store. The state company filed a complaint, which will be reviewed by the Seventeenth Arbitration Appeal Court.

      — The appeal complaint of the plaintiffs has been accepted for processing and will be considered without a court hearing, without summoning the parties involved in the case, by July 6, 2026, the court's press service noted.

      The date of the hearing has not yet been set. The claim of "Soyuzmultfilm" was considered in the Sverdlovsk arbitration in January. According to the studio, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet are protected by trademarks, and their placement on the store in Revda violates exclusive rights. Representatives of the film studio pointed out that the defendant did not obtain permission for their use, writes Ura.Ru. The first-instance court disagreed with the plaintiffs' arguments. The decision stated that the sign with Winnie the Pooh and Piglet does not contain advertisements for third-party goods and is not a product in itself. The court noted that the plaintiffs did not prove the fact of selling counterfeit products or providing advertising services using trademarks.
