For the former deputy minister of MUGISO, who left the Urals, 14 years in a penal colony were requested in another region.

      In the Orenburg region, the former deputy head of the Ministry for State Property Management of the Sverdlovsk region (MUGISO), former Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Property Relations of the Orenburg region, Alexander Sambursky, is being tried on charges of receiving bribes.

      At the end of 2019, Alexander Sambursky took the position of Minister of Natural Resources of the Orenburg region, from which he was dismissed in July 2024 by the then Orenburg governor Denis Pasler, TASS reports.

      The reason for his resignation, it was reported, was the slow pace of addressing the assigned tasks. However, just a month later, Sambursky became a suspect in four episodes of bribery. The accused did not admit guilt during the investigation and trial.

      For bribes, the ex-minister, according to case materials, ensured the unhindered stay of bribe-givers in their positions, as well as general patronage and leniency in service. The bribe-givers were the heads of two structures subordinate to the ministry.

      Thus, relatives of Sambursky provided a Lexus car for use. Other bribes included a sofa worth 190,000 rubles, gift cards from the TSUM store, as well as lighting for a private house in the Sverdlovsk region, where Sambursky's parents lived, and services for its installation, with a total value exceeding 494,000 rubles.

      On April 9, the state prosecutor requested 14 years in prison for Alexander Sambursky, a fine of 95 million rubles, as well as a ban on holding positions in public service and local government for a period of seven years.

      Sambursky moved to Orenburg shortly after the privatization of the assets of "Oblkommunenergo" in the Sverdlovsk region, notes 66.RU.

      The owners of the utility complex at that time were billionaires Artem Bikov and Alexey Bobrov (in 2025, by a lawsuit from the Prosecutor General's Office, the assets were returned to state ownership by the Lenin District Court, and management was entrusted to PJSC "Rosseti").
