The reason for the death of the Yekaterinburg woman found dead in Valaam has been named.
Yekaterinburg resident Natalia Prostokova, who was searched for 17 days in Valaam in February, died from hypothermia. This was reported by the mother of the deceased to "KP-Yekaterinburg."
The dead Natalia was found on February 19 sitting in the snow. There were no buildings nearby, the mother reported.
"Natalia died from hypothermia. In addition, she was unwell. From the worries, immense stress... Witnesses say she was in a serious condition. She wrote to me the day before her disappearance that she hadn't slept for a week," the mother told "KP-Yekaterinburg."
According to her, there was no one near her daughter in the monastery who could support her.
The thirty-six-year-old girl was buried in her homeland in Reftinsky next to her older sister. Due to rumors that Natalia had taken her own life, the funeral was held without a requiem.
