Traffic will be restricted during the procession on Easter in Yekaterinburg.
Temporary traffic restrictions will be in effect due to the processions taking place on Sunday, April 12, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region reports.
Traditional processions dedicated to the Orthodox holiday of Easter will take place in several cities, including the Ural capital. During the movement of the columns, temporary restrictions will be imposed for all types of transport.
In Yekaterinburg, the restrictions will be in effect from 16:00 to 18:00.
The route of the procession: from the Holy Trinity Cathedral to the Church on the Blood via Rose Luxembourg St. - Kuybyshev St. - Gogol St. - Pushkin St. - Lenin St. - Tolmachev St. - Tsarskaya St.
In addition to Yekaterinburg, processions will also take place in Karpinsk, Krasnoturinsk, and Pervouralsk.
The lifting of traffic restrictions will be carried out as the columns pass.
"The employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate will ensure road safety throughout the entire period of the events, will monitor the situation, and coordinate the opening of road sections as quickly as possible. We urge motorists to take the imposed restrictions into account when planning their travel routes and organizing parking space," the agency's message states.
