A large-scale renovation of an important highway is starting in the Sverdlovsk region.
In the Berezovsky municipal district, a major overhaul of a 7-kilometer section of the Yekaterinburg - Rezh - Alapaevsk road has begun. As part of the work, the road will be expanded to four lanes.
As reported by the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Denis Pasler, traffic will be maintained on two lanes, and if necessary, reversible traffic will be introduced on certain sections. From the end of April until the end of September, a speed limit of 30-40 km/h will be enforced on the Rezh tract section for safety purposes.
The overhaul will be another stage in the large-scale modernization of the Rezh tract. Over the past five years, more than 36 kilometers of road surface have been renewed, 12 kilometers of overtaking lanes have been built, one bridge has been repaired, a overpass has been reconstructed, and another new one has been erected. In addition to the current section, work will continue this season on another 12 kilometers of the road.
More than two billion rubles will be allocated for the repair of the Yekaterinburg - Tyumen road.
