The Sverdlovsk manufacturer of ventilators announced a reduction in funding.

A representative of the Ural Instrument Engineering Plant, Alexander Telnykh, stated during the "Healthcare of the Urals-2026" exhibition in Yekaterinburg that funding for medical equipment manufacturers in Russia has decreased.

      — The demand may have increased, but funding has decreased. The situation is complicated, and it is not getting better. The economy is contracting, that is clear. Right now, we need our ventilator to be included in the special register to prove that it is of Russian production. This is necessary to limit competition. I think we will manage to do this within 2-3 months, — Telnykh was quoted by the EAN publication.

The third-generation ventilators produced by the Ural Instrument Engineering Plant are undergoing testing by disaster medicine doctors. In addition to mobile devices, the plant produces stationary versions that assist doctors with scientific research. The enterprise plans to produce 100-300 ventilators per year, capturing a large part of the market: the demand from hospitals across the country is about 500 devices per year.

It was previously reported that Sverdlovsk agrarians are incurring multimillion losses due to low milk prices.
