      In the Sverdlovsk region, large-scale roadworks will begin in the coming weeks. The total funding for the season will amount to about 40.5 billion rubles, reported the region's Minister of Transport Denis Chegaev during a TASS press conference.

      The largest project remains the reconstruction of the section of the EKAD from the Tyumen to the Rezhevsky tract, expanding it to six lanes. In 2026, 4.2 billion rubles will be allocated for this work. The project is planned to be completed by the end of 2028, although the timeline may be shortened.

      A total of about 230 km of roads will be repaired in the region. The work will take place, in particular, on the routes Yekaterinburg - Nizhny Tagil - Serov, Serov - Severouralsk - Ivdel, and Yekaterinburg - Rezh - Alapaevsk. As part of the national project, 73 road sections will be updated and five bridges will be reconstructed.

      Of the total amount, 6 billion rubles will come from the federal budget, and another 200 million rubles will be allocated in the form of infrastructure loans for roadworks in Yekaterinburg.
