      According to preliminary data, a 77-year-old driver of a Chevrolet Niva was driving from Vodnaya Street towards Inzhenernaya and did not yield to pedestrians at an uncontrolled crossing. At that moment, a seven-year-old boy was crossing the roadway with his mother. The child was taken to Children's City Hospital No. 9 with injuries. The driver explained that he was blinded by the sun, which is why he did not notice the pedestrians. The man has 30 years of driving experience and has not been previously held accountable for traffic violations. A medical examination showed that he was sober at the time of the accident. Currently, traffic police officers are investigating all the circumstances of the incident. An administrative investigation has been initiated under articles for violating traffic rules that caused harm to health and for failing to give way to pedestrians.
