Russians were warned about the gas shutdown due to the stove.
The use of old gas stoves can result in fines and gas disconnection. This was warned by expert Dmitry Bondar to the publication 360.ru.
According to him, when installing a new stove, it is essential to have a "gas control" system that shuts off the gas supply when the flame goes out, and the connection must be made with a certified flexible hose. Compliance with these requirements is not only a matter of rules but also of safety.
According to Article 9.23 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation, using outdated gas equipment is subject to a fine of 5,000 to 10,000 rubles, and in case of repeated violations, up to 25,000 rubles. Additionally, the gas supply may be suspended until the problem is resolved.
The expert noted that partial repairs do not always solve the situation: if the stove has reached the end of its service life, replacing individual parts will not help—complete replacement will be required.
Owners are also required to allow specialists to check the equipment at least once a year. Refusal to undergo inspection can lead not only to a fine but also to the disconnection of gas in the apartment.
