According to the police, around half past midnight, a 19-year-old student from one of the colleges became a victim of an attack. He reported that the conflict started because drunken strangers did not like his appearance. During the quarrel, the young man was beaten—he received several blows to the head and face, after which they took his phone and forced him to transfer 800 rubles.
The victim sought medical help, and he was diagnosed with a displaced nasal fracture. The total damage amounted to about 20,000 rubles. Criminal investigation department employees quickly identified the suspects. They turned out to be local residents aged 26 and 23—previously unconvicted. One of them is unemployed, while the other is a railway track installer. The men admitted their guilt and reported that they had thrown away the stolen phone.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under the article on group robbery with the use of violence. The suspects have been taken into custody, and they face up to 7 years in prison.
