In the Sverdlovsk region, large batches of imported strawberries were checked before being put up for sale. From April 30 to May 5, 2026, specialists from the Ural Interregional Directorate of Rosselkhoznadzor monitored the import of berries delivered to the fruit and vegetable base in Yekaterinburg.
As reported by the agency, samples were taken from each batch for laboratory research. The examination conducted at the Yekaterinburg branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIZH" did not reveal any quarantine pests.
A total of 37 tons of strawberries from Azerbaijan and another 2 tons from Kyrgyzstan were received in the region. After inspection, all products were allowed for sale in the territory of the Middle Urals.
