Russians have been warned about new fraudulent schemes ahead of May 9.
Before May 9, Russians complained about an increase in cases of fraud. Scammers are using themes related to payments for veterans and tickets to the parade. This was reported by the press service of the "Moshilovka" platform.
— Criminals are calling on behalf of volunteers from the "Search Movement of Russia": a medal of a missing relative has been found. To "confirm the relationship," they ask to follow a link to an "archival site" and enter a code from an SMS, which leads to the theft of access to "Gosuslugi," representatives of the platform clarified.
There is also a scheme involving a "one-time payment for veterans." Scammers call on behalf of the Social Fund, asking for the code from an SMS to process the payment.
Additionally, fraudsters offer tickets to the parade: they inform the veteran about the opportunity to receive a ticket to the stands for a "symbolic organizational fee," after which they simply steal everything.
Previously, scammers devised a scheme involving the "recalculation" of utility bills.
