A fake about the start of a patriotic campaign was spread on the Internet ahead of Victory Day. This was reported the day before by the Anti-Terrorism Commission of the Sverdlovsk region.
“Attempts to disseminate false information about the youth campaign ‘Candle of Memory and Combat 100 Grams’ have been recorded online. Malefactors created a special channel in a messenger, masquerading as a state body of youth policy, and are sending posters of the supposedly patriotic campaign to community administrators,” the channel “Anti-Terror Ural” stated in MАХ.
Such disinformation is aimed not only at tarnishing the memory of the defenders of the Fatherland but also at stealing personal data, the anti-terrorism commission warned. Citizens are urged not to click on the links of the fake campaign.
Earlier, at the end of April, a fake was launched in the Sverdlovsk region about a joint Saturday cleanup by schoolchildren and convicts to tidy up the graves of fighters from the Wagner Group.
