Another earthquake occurred in the Sverdlovsk region.
In the north of the Sverdlovsk region, another earthquake has occurred. Underground tremors with a magnitude of 4.1 were recorded on May 8 in the area of Krasnoturinsk, reported the Kazakhstan National Data Center.
According to seismologists, the earthquake occurred at 13:06. The epicenter was located in a forested area within the territory of the Serov municipal district - between the settlements of Podgarnichny, Mirny, and Krasny Yar.
Despite the relatively high magnitude, local residents may not have felt the tremors, as the epicenter was situated far from populated areas.
This is not the first earthquake in the region in recent days. Earlier, on May 5, two underground tremors were registered in the same area: near the settlement of Krasny Yar, the magnitude was 4.5, and not far from Serov - 4.4. Two more earthquakes occurred on May 6 in the North Ural region. Seismic activity was recorded near the settlements of Cheremukhovo and Kalya. The magnitudes of the tremors were 4.4 and 4.6, respectively.
