The police urged Yekaterinburg residents to voluntarily demolish garages.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yekaterinburg has appealed to residents with a demand to voluntarily dismantle metal garages located on a land plot in the area of Bazovy Lane, 50. This concerns the territory with the cadastral number 66:41:0601055:15.
The agency reminded that according to Article 222 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, structures erected without the necessary permits on unregistered or foreign land plots are considered unauthorized constructions.
Owners of non-capital objects must remove the garages and free the territory by June 1, 2026. After dismantling, the owners must restore the plot to its original state and notify the city police department within five days. The police warned that in case of refusal to voluntarily demolish, the agency will go to court with a claim for the demolition of unauthorized constructions and recovery of court costs from the garage owners.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yekaterinburg urged citizens to timely fulfill the requirements and comply with the norms of current legislation.
