In Yekaterinburg, on the night of May 16, a section of Kuybyshev Street from March 8 to Gorky was closed due to the construction of a 45-meter-long underground pedestrian tunnel. It will not be possible to drive here until August 15.
Additionally, the section will also be closed to pedestrians. It is suggested to detour via Narodnaya Volya in the area of the Ice Arena, Radishcheva, Gorky, and Karl Marx. Motorists will be able to bypass the closed section of the road via March 8, Dekabristov, Bolshakova, Malysheva, Gorky, Belinsky, and Rosa Luxemburg streets.
This will also affect public transport routes. Thus, bus No. 74, when heading to the final stop "Traktovaya," will go via Onufriev, the Serafima Deryabina bypass, Bardin, Amundsen, Shchorsa, March 8, Bolshakova, Belinsky, Kuybyshev, Lunacharsky, Dekabristov, along the Siberian tract, Varshavskaya, Siberian tract, and to Traktovaya. The "Circus" stop will be canceled for the time being. Buses will stop at the "Museum of Bazhov" and "Dekabristov" points, the press service of the city administration reports.
Trams will continue to operate on the closed section of Kuybyshev until the end of the school year, and from June 1 to August 15, they will also stop. Traffic will be opened by August 15, and the tunnel itself is planned to be fully constructed by November.
