Children of migrants will be checked due to school absences.

      In Russia, a mechanism for interdepartmental control over migrant children who do not attend school or systematically skip classes has begun to be implemented. The new interaction scheme was already tested in practice in 2025. This is reported by the Telegram channel "Yekaterinburg Main," which is close to the city administration.

      The reason for the increased control was the situation with migrant children after the introduction of a language testing system for admission to schools. The mechanism, which started operating last year, allows schools not to admit students who do not have sufficient proficiency in the Russian language, in order to avoid creating additional burdens on teachers and the educational process.

      However, as specialists note, this approach simultaneously carries the risk of social isolation for children, as school remains one of the key institutions for integration and socialization in Russian society.

      To address this issue, the authorities have developed a scheme for interdepartmental interaction that allows for the identification of minors who do not attend educational institutions, regularly skip classes, or commit offenses.

      The control system includes educational authorities, law enforcement units, and other relevant agencies. It is expected that the exchange of information between these structures will allow for a quicker response to cases of children dropping out of the educational environment and prevent potential social risks.
