      Most often, the couriers who collect money from the victims of scammers are people under 30 years old. However, according to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Yekaterinburg, Police Colonel Viktor Poznyak, a courier can be a person of any age. Recently, three pensioner couriers were detained in Yekaterinburg. Teenagers aged 15-17 are also often involved in crimes. In one of the latest criminal episodes, teenagers from the Sverdlovsk region took 1 million rubles from a pensioner in Yekaterinburg, receiving 10,000 rubles for this service. Typically, couriers from other regions are always accompanied by an observer who must ensure that the money is taken from the victim and handed over. The main tools of scammers remain stress, fear, and greed. Most often, emotionally unstable people become victims. Victims are intimidated by the loss of money or legal problems, creating stress, panic, and limiting the time frame for decision-making. According to a psychologist, when receiving calls from scammers, one should try to think, stop, and not rush into making decisions, or simply end the conversation. To prevent your child from becoming a victim of cybercriminals, you need to talk to them, explain the schemes of deception, and clarify what they can do and what they cannot. And under no circumstances should parents get angry with the child, but rather understand why this happened themselves.
