According to preliminary data, the driver of the Nissan Juke was driving along Bolshakova Street from the direction of Moskovskaya Street when the child suddenly ran onto the roadway. The boy appeared from behind a parked car. As a result of the collision, the schoolboy sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, the child was on the street with his parents. The family was walking on the sidewalk, but the boy ran after the ball and unexpectedly dashed onto the road. The parents did not manage to stop him.
The driver of the Nissan Juke was a 57-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg with 29 years of driving experience. After the accident, the woman underwent a sobriety test—no alcohol was found in her blood.
According to the driver, the child suddenly ran out from behind a parked car, after which she tried to brake urgently, but was unable to avoid the collision. Information about the incident will also be sent to the juvenile affairs department and the territorial commission to consider the issue of holding the parents administratively responsible for inadequate supervision of the child.
