In Yekaterinburg, a female photographer was sentenced for her erotic hobby.
In Yekaterinburg, the verdict against photographer Alexandra Kuzik, issued by the Lenin District Court of the Ural capital in the case of the production and distribution of pornographic materials, has entered into legal force.
As established by the court, in April 2022, the defendant Kuzik published a fanfic (fan fiction, or fanfic, is an amateur composition written by a fan based on an original work: book, movie, series, game - note from Uralweb.ru) with elements of pornography, dedicated to non-traditional relationships (the LGBT movement is recognized as extremist and banned in the territory of the Russian Federation).
Later, she printed a book at one of the printing houses and sold one of the copies for a fee.
Three years later, in May 2025, the police initiated a criminal case against the author on two episodes of paragraph "b" part 3 of article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal production and circulation of pornographic materials or items, using mass media and the Internet - note from Uralweb.ru).
According to "KP-Yekaterinburg," the police learned about the "creativity" of the Sverdlovsk woman after a woman reported that her daughter had bought the book. However, they were not interrogated within the framework of the criminal case.
In court, the defendant fully admitted her guilt. She explained that she has long been interested in writing fanfics.
During the debates, the prosecution requested 4 years in a general regime colony for the accused.
On May 13, the Lenin District Court sentenced the 36-year-old "writer" to one and a half years of compulsory labor with 10% of her salary withheld for the benefit of the state. Fifteen days later, the verdict entered into legal force. No appeals or motions against the verdict were received, the court added.
