Relatives of the tourists who died at the Dyatlov Pass are demanding a ban on discussions of the theories surrounding their deaths.
Relatives of the tourists from Igor Dyatlov's group, who died in 1959 in the Northern Urals, intend to demand that federal television channels cease the dissemination of versions of the tragedy that, in their opinion, do not correspond to reality. This was reported by TASS lawyer Evgeny Chernoусов.
According to him, the relatives of the deceased will also seek the initiation of a new criminal case to establish the circumstances of the tourists' deaths.
Chernoусов stated that the investigation materials lack the results of a number of mandatory examinations. In particular, chemical studies and histology results should accompany the acts of forensic autopsy.
— Forensic examinations were conducted, and the bodies were autopsied. Chemical examinations and histology must be attached to the autopsy reports, but they are not attached. This means they were not conducted, — noted the lawyer.
In his opinion, the results of these studies could help establish the exact cause of death of the group members.
The group of nine tourists led by Igor Dyatlov died under unclear circumstances during a skiing expedition in the Northern Urals in February 1959. Despite the decades that have passed, the tragedy remains one of the most discussed mysteries of Soviet history.
