The Lenin District Court of Yekaterinburg has chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention for the driver of the route bus, accused of a fatal traffic accident that resulted in the deaths of four people, including a 9-year-old boy.
According to the investigation, on the evening of June 10, 2026, the driver of the "PAZ-3204 'Vector'" bus, while driving along 8 Marta Street, entered the intersection with Malysheva Street on a red traffic light. There, the bus collided with a "Lifan" car, after which it drove onto the sidewalk and hit pedestrians who were there.
As a result of the accident, four people died from their injuries.
The man born in 1977 has been charged under part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - violation of traffic rules resulting in the unintentional death of two or more persons.
