In Yekaterinburg, five couples registered their marriage in a building with the USSR coat of arms on Malysheva.
One of the marriage registration venues on the beautiful "mirror" date of 26.06.2026 in Yekaterinburg became the Sber office in a historic building from the Soviet era located at Malysheva Street, 31 "B", reports the EAN agency.
The building was constructed in the neoclassical style and has preserved many Soviet artifacts, including the coat of arms on the facade and a statue of V.I. Lenin in the center of the client hall, writes EAN.
As the bank's press service told EAN, the wedding ceremony took place there for five young couples. This was made possible as part of the "Let's Get Married!" campaign.
On the day of June 26, newlyweds were received by the registry offices, and from 0:01 until morning and from 20:00 until midnight, other additional venues, including unusual ones, were also available.
As part of the project, in a special atmosphere, 110 couples formalized their union out of 400 who got married that day.
The most popular venues were the Palace of Marriages (Karl Liebknecht St., 3), the Baden-Land thermal complex, and the Belinsky Library.
Marriages on that day were also registered at the "Yekaterinburg Arena" stadium, the Musical Comedy Theater, the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Vysotsky Business Center, and, as already mentioned, in the historic building of the savings bank.
In total, on 26.06.2026, about 1,500 couples from Sverdlovsk region got married—approximately the same number as usually for the entire month.
According to Deputy Governor - Minister of Health Tatyana Savinova, many couples who had not thought about marriage were prompted to formalize their union by the campaign, reports the Department of Information Policy of Sverdlovsk Region.
