According to the Telegram channel, officials will introduce restrictions from July 1 until the end of the year. On Radishcheva and the Chelyuskintsev bridge, trams will travel at a speed of 15-20 km/h, while on Malysheva and the Tatishchev section, it will be 10 km/h. In both cases, the last major repairs of the tracks were done over 50 years ago.
Drivers will have to slow down at 33 sections, which accounts for almost a quarter of the total length of all tracks. Earlier in Yekaterinburg, a way was devised to increase the speed of trams, which currently travel at only 13 km/h.
