The Rosgvardiya seized 1500 units of weapons from residents of Sverdlovsk.

      In the first half of 2026, Rosgvardiya employees seized about 1,500 units of firearms from residents of Sverdlovsk. This was reported by the press service of Rosgvardiya in the region.

      They seized weapons from those who violated the requirements of the law "On Weapons." Owners can check the validity of their documents in their personal account on the Unified State Services Portal in the "Documents" - "Weapons" section. There, they can also submit applications for obtaining licenses and permits.

      Employees of the licensing and permitting service conduct an analysis of the weapons submitted for destruction and seized weapons, which, after complying with all established procedures under current legislation, provided that the owner has not taken steps to reclaim the seized items, are transferred to state ownership. Part of the weapons is sent to the SVO zone. Thus, since the organization of the transfer of weapons to the SVO zone, about 1,600 units of weapons and over 20,000 cartridges have been sent from the region, of which approximately 730 units of weapons have been sent since the beginning of the year.
