In Yekaterinburg, the tram traffic scheme will change from August 1.
The administration of Yekaterinburg announced changes to the public transport routes, which will take effect from August 1. The operation of tram routes No. 12, 16, 23, and bus No. 83 will be adjusted.
According to the new transport scheme, the changes will affect the following directions:
- Tram No. 12 will go to the "Shartash" station instead of "40 years of VLKSM" via Lunacharsky, and due to the cancellation of the duplicate tram No. 20, its interval will be reduced to 17-20 minutes;
- Tram No. 16 will connect Akademichesky and ZBI ("Akademika Parina" - "40 years of VLKSM"), seven new low-floor trams "Castor" will be put on the line, and the interval will be reduced to 11-14 minutes;
- Tram No. 23 will be shortened to the "VIZ" station (instead of "Machinostroiteley");
- Bus No. 83 will be extended to the terminal "Uraltekhgaz," and special trips will be organized for employees of local enterprises to the "Montazhnikov" stop, with an interval of half an hour to an hour, reports the publication "Signal Ural."
It was previously reported that trams in Yekaterinburg may slow down to 10 km/h.
