On the federal highway R-354 Yekaterinburg - Shadrinsk - Kurgan, large-scale repairs are beginning. To update more than 40 kilometers of pavement, the Federal State Institution "Uralavtodor" has announced a search for a contractor.
The work will take place on two sections of the road - from the 87th to the 109th kilometer and from the 109th to the 131st kilometer, in the area of Kamensk-Uralsky. The contractor will need to replace the upper protective layer of the road surface.
The initial cost of the contract is about 209 million rubles. The repairs must be completed by August 15, 2027, reports the EAN publication.
During the work, motorists will have to consider traffic restrictions. The most congested section is considered to be from the 87th to the 109th kilometer, where the average daily traffic intensity reaches about 18,700 vehicles. Due to the repairs, traffic jams may well begin to form here.
