A pedestrian bridge collapsed in the Urals.

      In Zlatoust, located in the Chelyabinsk region, a pedestrian bridge over the Kamenka River has collapsed. Now residents are forced to move along a single sleeper.

      — The pedestrian bridge over the Kamenka River from Stepan Razin Street to Spartak Street has collapsed. It had long been in an emergency condition, the bridge had not been repaired, — reported a local resident in the community "Tekstler, help" on "VKontakte."

      The city dweller added that she contacted the administration, where she was told that the destroyed sleepers had been dismantled, and repairs to the bridge were planned. However, the repairs have not yet begun.

      — People are walking on the destroyed bridge, on a single shaky sleeper. Since June 16, when it collapsed, two people have already fallen, — added the Ural resident.

      In the Zlatoust administration, the Ura.Ru agency confirmed that the bridge is planned to be repaired.

      — According to the Property Management Committee, the bridge is ownerless, so a procedure is currently underway to transfer it to municipal ownership. This is necessary for the repairs to be carried out, — added in the mayor's office.

      It was previously reported that a bridge in Nizhnie Sergi was washed away, which had been built after the powerful flood in 2020.
